Second Chances is the fifth level of Prey.

Synopsis

After returning from death, Tommy continues his journey to find Jen.

Storyline

Reappearing on the Sphere in a random room, a mutilated human approaches Tommy, but he quickly kills him. Suddenly, a mysterious female voice starts talking to Tommy about how humans are a mystery. He then walks through a tunnel until he reaches a force shield and spirit walks to open it. Tommy continues until a dead body falls from above, then a man from another tunnel warns about enemies ahead and runs away. Tommy then reaches another force shield and with help of the spirit walk turns it off. He journeys on and walks on an anti-gravity platform.

A pair of hunters then proceed to attack Tommy who kills them and finds a leech gun, using it to kill more hunters. He then reaches a chamber with two children in it. One of them becomes possessed by a wraith and violently kills the other by impaling him. The female voice heard from earlier tells that they were no ghostly spirits before he returned from the death world. Tommy then reaches the main section of the Roadhouse bar which was also abducted onto the Sphere. After killing two waves of hunters, a portal opens which Tommy steps through.

Trivia

• Tommy gains the Leech Gun in this level.
• Wraiths are first encountered in this level.
• Tommy returns to the abducted Roadhouse bar in this level.
  • The song "Barracuda" by Heart starts to play when approaching the bar.
  • Two hunters can be seen fiddling with the music player, eventually choosing to play "Living After Midnight" by Judas Priest.
